Meet Jean Snelling
Founder of Clean Genie
I started Clean Genie LLC out of necessity, but the business, our clients, and my employees have quickly become my passion.

After being laid-off from my accounting job, I decided to take a break from the accounting world and struck out on my own. I answered an ad from a local family looking for cleaning help, and for the first time in 20 years, I experienced the freedom to set my own work schedule. That's when I realized a long-time dream: to run my own business and make a difference.
In my spare time, I kayak, hike, and bike. In the past, I have also been volunteer Treasurer for Waterbury Unleashed and Friends for Waterbury Area Recreation Development. I also spend time with my sweetheart, local photographer Gordon Miller, trusty canines Wally and Finnie and our precious feline, Kit Kat.
I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at University of Southern New Hampshire in May of 2019.
